Finding inspiration from his connection to the land, Alexander Erickson is a self-taught artist with schooling from the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Fine Art. As an artist, he believes he is responsible for telling the stories that are affecting or happening with the people. Currently, under his studies, his focus is to strengthen his form line.

Alexander's pieces depict stories from his Haisla roots and the connection we all share with the animal world.

He was born in Terrace, B.C. Alexander was raised both in Vancouver and Terrace. He is Dakelh and Haisla. His Maternal side is from Nak'azdli, and his Paternal side is from Haisla. He lives and works with Coast Salish Territory known as KwiKwitlum (Coquitlam). He’s been an artist since he was a small kid and became interested in Northwest Coast Design when he lived in Victoria at 18.
